get away: the Alila Napa Valley

Nestled amidst the rolling vineyards and serene landscapes of Napa Valley lies a hidden gem waiting to be discovered: the Alila Napa Valley. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of escaping to this luxurious retreat for a weekend getaway, and let me tell you, it exceeded all expectations.

Location-wise, it's a dream come true for wine enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The property is situated in the heart of Wine Country, surrounded by acres of lush vineyards and breathtaking scenery at every turn. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of our surroundings.

As for the accommodations, they were nothing short of exquisite. Our room was a sanctuary of modern elegance, boasting sweeping views of the vineyards and mountains. This made for pretty spectacular sights during morning coffee on our balcony. The attention to detail was impeccable, with every amenity carefully curated to ensure a truly indulgent experience. From the plush bedding to the sleek furnishings, every aspect of our stay exuded luxury and comfort.

But perhaps the highlight of our weekend retreat was dining at the onsite restaurant, Acacia House. Led by acclaimed chef Chris Cosentino, this culinary haven offers a farm-to-table menu inspired by the bounty of Napa Valley. Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, showcasing the freshest seasonal ingredients and innovative flavors. From the savory starters to the decadent desserts, every bite was a delight for the senses.

Of course, no visit to Napa Valley is complete without indulging in a wine tasting or two, and the Alila Napa Valley did not disappoint. The property offers exclusive access to some of the region's most renowned wineries, allowing guests to sample the finest vintages while soaking in the stunning scenery. The wonderful concierge set us up a fantastic tasting at Faust and it was one of our favorites. Oh, and don’t miss out on stopping by the Beringer Estate. It is within walking distance, and is such a gorgeous winery with even better wines.

Our anniversary weekend at the Alila Napa Valley was a perfect escape and we will definitely be back.
